We installed a complex patio which runs the whole width of the house and has to deal with a tricky difference in level from the extension to the garden with space for planting in-between the level changes.
Before and after
The previous patio was quite a drop from the house and all on one level with a steep step leading from the doors. We followed the angles of the house for this split level patio to create a visually interesting space for entertaining and placement of plants.
Project description
We recently completed a stunning, full-width porcelain patio installation that seamlessly connects the home’s new extension to the garden. Managing a complex layout, our team expertly navigated a challenging elevation drop by creating structural, multi-tiered level changes. We custom-cut a refined bullnose edge across the entire width of the steps, adding a premium, highly tactile finish to the stone tiers. Integrated between these levels are custom-built planting beds, softening the sleek hardscaping with vibrant greenery. This precision engineering transforms a tricky slope into a luxurious, highly functional outdoor space perfect for entertaining.
