This unused and unloved courtyard garden in Battersea was in need a complete transformation.

Before and After

A complete overhaul transformed an unused, unloved Battersea courtyard into a modern retreat. We unified the space with cohesive new fencing, laid elegant Egyptian beige limestone tiles, and crafted raised planting beds using softwood timber sleepers, turning a neglected area into a stylish, functional sanctuary.

Project description

By maximizing every square inch of the layout, the new design introduces a seamless flow that makes the once-cramped footprint feel open, bright, and inviting. The warm tones of the limestone bounce natural light deep into the space, while the clean lines of the timber beds create clear, structured zones for lush greenery, offering a striking contrast against the dark background.

Every element was chosen to balance durability with effortless style, turning what was once a forgotten corner into a low-maintenance outdoor room ideal for year-round entertaining. The result is a private urban oasis that complements the property’s modern aesthetic and provides a quiet escape from the hustle of Battersea
